Genesee County Health Department Press Release
The Genesee County Health Department has begun enforcing the Regulation
to Require License to Operate a Body Art Establishment and to
Establish Minimum Standards for Body Art Establishments
adopted in May, 2001, by the Genesee County Board of
Commissioners. The intent of the regulation is to assure a clean
environment at body art establishments in order to protect the
health of both clients and body art technicians. The regulation
requires establishments to obtain a license, training for
technicians, standardized documentation and standards for
facilities.
