Mothers: Be Good To Yourself


Mothers: take care of yourself on Mother’s Day. Get a yearly mammogram starting at 40 years of age and a Pap smear every one to three years. Breast and cervical cancer are diseases that can be identified and treated in their early stages.

The Genesee County Health Department offers a FREE mammogram, Pap smear, breast exam and pelvic exam for those who qualify. To qualify, a woman must be 40 years or older and of moderate income, with or without insurance. Exams take place at three different locations and are conducted by female healthcare providers.
