Training Center
Courses in Flint
Fall courses for the Michigan Public Health Training Center (MPHTC)
will get underway at the new William S. White Building on the campus of
the University of Michigan-Flint on September 20. There is still time to
register for one or all of the three courses designed to strengthen the
skills of those who promote and protect the quality of life in our
communities. The courses are:

Conducting Useful Program Evaluations;

Tradition and Transition: Public Health at the Crossroads; and,
-
Making a Difference: Accessing, Interpreting and Using Health Data.
Each course will be given over three half days and include the
opportunity to use distance learning technology between class sessions.
MPHTC students will be drawn from state and local health departments,
community-based organizations, health delivery systems and health plans,
and those studying public health. Tuition is $115 per course, and
registration materials are available by contacting the Center at (734)
669-8039 There is limited scholarship assistance available for those individuals representing community-based
organizations.
The MPHTC is one of fourteen centers funded nationally by the Health
Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services.
