               Genesee County Health Department has Flu Vaccine;

        Additional Flu Clinics to be Held

The Genesee County Health Department currently has flu vaccine available.  Additional clinics will be held for the public to receive the vaccine.  Those in need of the flu vaccine should see their doctor or utilize one of the additional Flu clinics at the Genesee County Health Department.  The following clinics and times have been set up:

·        Genesee County Health Department (Burton Branch)
       G-3373 S. Saginaw , Flint
      Wednesday, December 10th, 8-11am and 1-4pm 
 
·        Genesee County Health Department (McCree North)
      115 E. Pierson Rd, Flint
      Thursday, December 11th, 8:30-10:30am  
              The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend the following groups receive the flu vaccine: all persons 50 years of age or older, persons greater than 6 months of age with chronic illness, healthy infants and children 6-23 months of age, employees and residents of long- term care facilities, pregnant women, persons 6 months to 18 years of age receiving chronic aspirin therapy, health care providers (including home care), and household members of high-risk persons.
