Pandemic Flu Planning Materials Released to
Individuals and Families
The Genesee County Health Department has
released three Pandemic Flu Planning guides/checklists for individuals and
families. The informational sheets
are intended to assist community residents in their pandemic flu preparedness
planning. The documents are
entitled:

Pandemic
Flu Checklist,
·
Family
Emergency Health Information Sheet, and
·
Purifying
Household Water.
The Pandemic Flu Checklist helps
people gather the information and resources needed in case of a flu pandemic. Also
included is a template for a disaster supply kit to use for personal planning.
The Family Emergency Health
Information Sheet provides a form to gather important health information for
each member of a family, and local contact information to utilize in the event
of emergency. The Purifying
Household Water sheet explains the process of purifying water in situations
where water is deemed unsafe.
Genesee County residents can prepare for an influenza pandemic now. It is
important to understand both the magnitude of what can happen and what actions
can be taken to help lessen the impact of an influenza pandemic on individuals
