Speak To Your Health

Community Survey, 2003, 2005, and 2007

The Speak to Your Health! Community Survey is conducted by the Prevention Research Center of Michigan (PRC/MI), of which the Genesee County Health Department is a partner, and surveys Genesee County residents on health-related behaviors and attitudes and health status. Topics include: weight and nutrition, religion/spirituality, substance use, physical activity, mental and physical health status, tobacco use, health screenings, neighborhood issues, the penal system, social support, discrimination, and much more. The survey results are available for use to local organizations who are interested in using the data to further their work. Many items from the survey may be compared to state and national data. The survey was conducted in 2003 with over 1,800 Genesee County residents, in 2005 with nearly 1,750 Genesee County residents, and in 2007 with almost 1700 residents.
