Genesee Area Restaurant Association and Food Service Advisory Board
Genesee County is one of the few local health departments in Michigan with an
advisory board made up of food service operators. The board was formed in 1992.
It continues to meet five times a year, typically the second Tuesday in January,
March, May, September, and November at 2:30 p.m,
at the Genesee County Health Department. All food service operators and interested parties are welcome to
participate. The board advises the health department on issues of concern,
before new policies are decided, and it works with the department on projects of
mutual interest such as the sanitation excellence awards program and conflict
